Aloha!!!

We're off on a family vacation in Hawaii, Kailua. It's wonderful and we're having a great time at the beach, going hiking and playing. Getting her was a long trip, but Isabella was a trooper. The flight was not bad but the wait for our rental car was a bit unbearable.

We heard already at the airport that they were expecting a huge storm with lots of rain but it was when we actually settled into our rental home that it started... and it rained... hard. We were told it was a huge storm and we should expect loads of rain and wind including flash floods for the next seven days. Our hearts sank and we started thinking it was a bad idea coming. Like a letter in the mail, rain came that night and continued all next day. We tried keeping Isabella occupied but finally we went and bought a pair of rain boots and a rain jacket so at least we could go out.

But on our third day, the rain stopped and since then we've had beautiful weather and temperatures. We have been taking turns going to yoga. We have been hiking and playing on the beach. Kailua is a great town and actually we briefly came here in June 2006 when we were pregnant with Isabella and loved it. Never did we believe we would actually come back here so soon.

You can see all our Hawaii pictures here

You don't have to buy me a ticket, I can just travel here in the bag

Tourist!!!

When you have an iPhone to play with, time goes much faster while traveling

James pretty happy to finally arrive in Hawaii

For awhile we thought we would have to rent a boat to go sight seeing

The park ended up being a pool

Sticking our feet in the sand

Gallop, gallop, daddy is a pretty good horse

The house we rented was cozy and came with all kinds on appliances, including a pet named Stjarna by Isabelle (star in Swedish) His real name is Kona. Kona will probably pack his bags and come home with us because of the food we've been treating him to.

Piggy ride with Mom at the play ground close the house

Breath, concentrate....Dandayamana Dhanurasana

Isabella easy hike on dad's back in the Botanical Garden. The smells were amazing

Nope I'm not tireeeeed aaaat alllll.

But a little giggle with dad always wakes me up

We spotted these pretty little birds

Might not be as much vacation for Fredrica while cooking every night but boy was it good.

Here have a sip of water, it's important to stay hydrated you know.

Love the sand, water and sand castle building with mom....not so sure about the wind. She kept saying "No way".

James showing he IS a viking after all. The water was so nice and blue

We wrote about Isabella loving broccoli, now she has changed to ...Kale!!! Strange kid.
