Enjoying the winter (summer???) weather

After a big storm last week we been having some nice days lately and we as a family try to spend as much time outdoors  as possible. Our garden is growing, providing us with beautiful flowers and yummy vegetables and fruits. Isabella's favorite thing is eating outside and who are we to deny her that pleasure?

Tea for two

Many mornings James leaves early for meetings or yoga class so it leaves me and Bella to enjoy some girls time. I love it now when she wants to mimic everything I do so my morning routine with a cup of tea is now our morning routine. I'm having red tea and she loves her peppermint latte

Crib Vs. the bed

We finally took the plunge and got Bella a big girls bed. No one was happier than her and first night went so well. She only came up once but was caught by daddy working outside her room. We expected her to come into our room at night or wake up early. None of these things happened so we thought how lucky we were. Until next night when Isabella refused to sleep in the bed. She ended up in her crib which we had not had time to take a part yet and this is where she's been sleeping ever since. I ask every night if she wants to sleep there and she absolutely refuse. So now we have both in her room making it a bit small and hoping for the day when she is ready to move.

Singing in the rain

When we went to Hawaii in November, we bought rain boots and jacket for Isabella. She absolutely love her rain boots and would have them on every day if I let her. I tell her they are only for rainy days so she asks me every day if it's a rainy day. You have to understand, we live in San Diego where it does not rain very much and this winter we had a very dry winter. So when I told her on Monday it was a rainy day she was so happy and could not wait to get dressed and go out side and dance in the rain.

Mission Trails hiking

Nor rain, mud or wind can stop our Sunday hikes. But it almost did this time actually. On Sunday's we always go out for hike and we have so much fun. This weekend however San Diego was hit by a huge storm so we didn't know if we would make it. Luckily we have a pretty fearless child who woke up on Sunday saying "going for a hike?". So we decided to dress real warm and venture out for our weekend hike. We're glad we did but boy was is interesting. A couple of times we had to walk in mud and it was thick and hard to walk in. It glued it self to our shoes so it felt like walking in cement. Isabella happily sat in her backpack for once did not ask to walk. Then we had to jump on rocks to cross a river since it  was overflowing with water. Easier said than done with a 30 pound child on your back.  It was quit fogy when we started but we were lucky because pretty much as soon as we were done with the hike, the rain started to pour again.

This is usually Isabella's favorite place because this is where the ducks live but no ducks today. Who can blame them?

Its tax time... how can you tell? We're not blogging as much. So I thought I'd throw up a few fun pictures.

From dinner tonight... mom has taught her a unique way to eat blueberries. Also you can tell who is on Isabella's mind. If you listen careful you can hear Ansi's name at the end.

What can I say... is spring in the air???

Great weekend and a great prenatal workshop

You got to love living here in San Diego when it's January and the weather is warm and sunny. So we spend a lot of our weekend outside off course. On Saturday we started the day with breakfast at our favorite place, The Naked Cafe.  After our bellies where filled with eggs etc we needed to exercise and went for a hike. Unfortunately it was cut a little bit short since we had decided to really get Isabella potty trained so she only wore training pants. I brought extra just in case she would have a accident. Well she did four times so then we ran out of pants and had to come home after she complained over and over again "need change".  I had a prenatal workshop in the afternoon featuring partner yoga and massage for my pregnant yoga students at Prana in La Jolla. I worked along side Andrea and we had a great time. Below are pictures from the workshop.  I came home pretty late so we decided to actually go out for dinner and was joined my Jessica. It was sch great day. Today we went for a bike ride but James bike broke so me and Bella went alone while he took a walk. We tried to have pick nick at the beach but Isabella freak out so all we could do was pack up and go home and have a pick nick in our garden instead. It sure was nice. It was a busy but great weekend, just how we like it.
