Smart girl --Good girl

Having a toddler at home is fun but challenging at the same time. It use to be before that if there was something she wanted but could not have we just hide it and out of sight, out of mind did the trick. Not any longer. Now she is so tall she can usually see most things no matter were we put it. Her favorite things to play with is mommy's phone (she already called mommy boss, Jessica and daddy on it by her self), and TV remote control. She knows how the both work and we really don't want her to play with them. So we hide the remotes on what we think are smart places but Isabella goes on the hunt and usually find them. If she can reach them like in this picutre, she will have a melt down, not very fun but we're getting use to them by now.
On a lighter note, when she does something good like take something she shouldn't but puts it back when we asked we tell her good girl. Now she says it on her own when she believes she has been a good girl. Oh how much we love out little snuggle bug.

Global warmings effect on San Diego

The weather has been very much up and down here in San Diego the last couple of weeks. First it was the regular winter cold and rain (yes we do get cold temperatures and winter here too).
Then suddenly it got super hot and we had to run the air conditioner at home. It lasted for 3 days and then it got really cold. Wow!!!!
Now it's warm during the days but very cold during evening time.

I guess we're lucky since there are severe weather all over the US right now. We have killer tornado's ripping through states, massive snow and really cold temperatures.
All this does makes me and James reflect on global warming and how much it does effect all of us. It's very much an issue we all suffer from, the longer summers that are super hot in contrast with the much colder winters. We always wonder how people actually can say it's not in their finacilly best interest to take action. What are they going to spend their money on when our planet is used up? We know we preach a lot of saving the environment but if everyone does it, mankind has a chance and we'll can save our dying planet.

15-month check up

Today Isabella had her 15-month check up and everything is great. They love her over there and think she has the best personality.

One of our concerns was that although she speaks words, there are not that many. Our pediatrician, Dr. Selpuveda was not worried and said when children are being raised bilingually like Isa, it takes longer.

She had lost little bit of weight since we were there during her cold but it's understandable since she was sick for almost two weeks and had little appetite. Just that Isa is not "fat" baby to begin with so we just have to keep track. She goes through periods were she eats like a horse and then we had periods were all we do it cook different foods which she only takes one bite and then refuse to eat more.

She also got two vaccines, and in the past has never had any problems afterward but today she had a lot of pain in her injection site anddeveloped a rash. We cross our fingers and hope nothing else develops out of that. When I did check on her in bed she did feel warm but hope it's not a feber.

Exciting times....

It's been a while since we blogged but life has been busy and interesting

Never before have we been so involved in a president election as this one. This is the first time we have a black, a woman, a minister and Mormon candidate. After months of campaigning with mudslinging left and right, questions about Obama's former clients, Hillary friendliness (or not) and McCain's age, we're finally at the end were we voted who the nominee will be. All three of us went to vote on Tuesday but still no winner among the democrats.

We personally hope for Barack. James had been frustrated watching CNN in the morning after the voting hoping to hear some news but the news has been all about the destruction of a tornado in the midwest. Yes can you believe it, 54 people dead and many more homeless due to a tornado is more important then Hillbilly, Barack and McCain.

Here at home, Isabella is finally getting over cold #2. After 15 month of no colds she made it up in one go with a cold, a ear infection and then another cold. Now she is all better and her old funny self back. She talks a lot, both Swedish and English, loves running around (preferable naked) and loves babies and animals. At day care she is so good with younger children, she strokes their heads and give them their passefires with they are upset.

Now if we only could get a democrate back into the White House. everything would just be all dandy.

A Load of Dark Laundry

Is this the daughter of a line of feminists??? She seems to LOVE helping to unload the dishwasher, fold (or unfold) laundry and more. We think she'll by cooking full meals by the age of three... she must carefully observe any cooking going on kitchen.

Recently she even wants to help change her diaper. She loves to walk around the garden with the watering pale, that is practically too big for her to carry.

Isabella has also become a very nurturing little girl. She helps out with the younger kids at day care. She loves to give hugs.
