We haven't been blogging for awhile because we have been busy here at the Syren home. First James got sick while we're in SF and had to stay home for a couple of days and Fredrica had to take on some extra responsibilities for Isabella (e.g drop of, pick up and general care). Then last weekend Isabella got sick with high fever, really stuffy nose and bad cough. This made it hard for her to sleep and made her more cranky so she was a handful. THEN James got the same thing and feeling bad. Worse for mom, he's snores like a drunken sailor. So when Isabella does not keep mom up, dad does. On top of this we both try to juggle work since James is middle tax season and Fredrica working on Shakti Rising fundraiser for next weekend and is really busy as well.
So needless to say, blogging had been the last thing on our mind. And we asked our self, how does people do this with multiple children????

We're so happy we brought the camera....
Two weekends ago we went to San Francisco and it was the first time we left without Isabella. Boy that was hard and off course everywhere at the Airport and on the airplane we saw kids and babies. Our good friend Jessica who is practicly part of the family now, gave us a weekend away as a christmas present. What a present wow! However, I thibnk Jessica was looking forward to the weekend with Isabella as much as we were looking foward to a weekedn amoung adults.
So we decided to do what we never do these days, go out of a late dinner, with friends and eat too much and drink too much way too late. We meet up first for brunch at our favourite breakfast place Hobbies with Alex and Maria.
We then swopped over to Oakland to a Swedish store to buy $90 worth of candies (Not all mine, James love swedish chocolate).
Unfortunately then we got stuck in weekend traffic into the city but who cares when you have buck loads of candy in the car.
For dinner we meet up with newly engaged and very good friends Alexandra and Mark and our favorite people in the whole world Adam and Sue. We went to a hip vegetarian restaurant called Millennium. Wow, the food was truly amazing and company even more.
Sunday we had breakfast a great place in our old neighborhood Noe Valley called Cloe and then off for a walk along the water in the Marina.
Now we really wish we could show you pictures from all these nice things but our brains must have been somewhere else because the only picture we got was one of San Diego as we're leaving and one while waiting for Bart in SF.

Something to make you laugh... Vol 2
I captured this video a couple months ago before Isabella was walking. It was too long to add to the blog so I had to edit it to make it shorter... it look me a while... and it is still pretty long, but it is really funny.
We have a vacuum cleaner that is a robot... called an iRobot. If you've never heard of this before it is simply one of the best things I've ever bought. If you want to see how it works, click here and then click 'watch' below the product picture.
Isabella thinks it is so much fun to watch it vacuum the house. At first she was very apprehensive, the she learned how to turn it on and off and gradually got more daring.

Highlights from Christmas
What a wonderful holiday we had and it was our first christmas we didn't go somewhere else and it was in our new home. Here are some of our highlights... enjoy! Remember you can click on the images to make them bigger!

For dinner on the 24th, we had 11 for dinner! Fredrica and Jessica shopped, prepared, baked and cooked like never before. There were some disasters but dinner was wonderful and traditional .

An absolutely perfect Johnson's Temptation. We also had Swedish Meatballs, Swedish Sausages, Swedish Ham (yes from Sweden), Herring, Saffron Buns, and so many deserts we didn't know what to do with ourselves! We also had many vegetarian oprtions such as veggie pate, soy sausages, kale salad, mustard marinaded eggplant and lentil balls.

Meet Victoria
Victoria is Isabella's best friends and whereever she goes, Victoria comes along. As a matter of fact, she will not get out of bed unless you first grab Victoria and then Isabella.
So let us introduce you to this very special creature. Victoria is a small stuffed dog Isabella became the proud owner of in July while visiting Sweden. Ansi, whose middle name Isabella has, welcomed her to Sweden with this stuffed animal gift.
It happened to be on Swedish Crown Princess Victoria's birthday so hence she got that name. Ansi is very special to all of us but especially to Isabella who does not have a living Swedish grandma. Ansi has taken on the role and doing a great job. Isabella absolutely loves Ansi (and thinks that her husband Johan is not that shabby either). Ansi's real name is Ann-Cecilia and Isabella is named Isabella Cecilia after her.
Now this solid love is a bit of a problem since Victoria does get dirty and smells kind of but we can't wash her because Isabella would not let us. Anyone has any ideas what to do?
