Spring Cleaning

We have been trying to do some deep cleaning in the house... really getting into the closets, draw, garage, etc. We are doing a home exchange for three weeks with a family from Sweden this summer and we'd like the place to be in good shape for their arrival.

Every year, Talmadge has a neighborhood-wide garage sale... what perfect timing! I took this picture after we had gotten rid of a few key items. Bella doesn't give up things too easily. We had a bird cage that we have never used... but Bella couldn't bear to give it up she really wants a bird...

Perfect time to sit outside, eating breakfast and watching the visitors walking from neighbor to neighbor.

Perfect Day to Fly a Kite

It was a windy spring day in San Diego... and Bella saw people flying kites and she really wanted to do that. We didn't even own a kite. So after her nap it was off to Toys R Us.

You can see how excited Bella was... we had a lot of fun.

It's no secret Bella loves music and dancing. She has a CD in my car with Swedish songs and she loves rocking and singing along in the car. Sometimes when we arrive home she asks if we can just wait for one of favorite songs to play to the end so she can sing....on top of her lungs off course:-)

Tinkerbell = Tingeling = fun times!!!

Bella's favorite character right now is Tinkerbell or Tingeling which is what she is called in Swedish and since she only watched Tingeling in Swedish, it was she knows. When I was cleaning out her closet the other day I found a Tinkerbell costume which someone gave us long time ago. She was so excited about it and has been wearing it every day since.

Let it bee..buzzzzzzz

James is out of town again on another trip and missing the drama at home. Bella got stung by a bee today in the park. She must have stepped on it because the sting is under her foot. At first I was a little worried since both my mom and uncle were allergic to bee stings but nothing happened. She did complain about not feeling her best on the way home but the foot does not hurt anymore but she still wanted a Barbie bandage on it.

She is now sound a sleep in my bed. I know I'm a sucker for bee sting victims ;) She is also recovering from a minor cold and a nasty ear infection. Poor Bellaboo!!!

We have also been having some fun. On Sunday after we dropped of dad at the airport we had pedicures together. After that we went on a small shopping spree and that made us hungry so we had lunch with Jess. The afternoon, Bella was suppose to have a play date but they apparently forgot with devastated Bella but we went out of a walk around the neighborhood.
