We used to go hiking a lot all over San Diego... we love it... but there is nothing like pregnancy and then a new baby to slow ya down a bit.
So this weekend we were feeling cooped up and wanted to get out for some exercise. A big storm is coming in today so we got up early this morning and declared we start hiking again today!
Mom hurried up and put some hot chocolate together in a thermos and dad got kids dressed and ready. We got out the door at 5 minutes before 7. Record time!
Isabella used to ride in a backpack on Daddy's back... before Noah came along. Now, Noah is riding along with Daddy and Isabella made the whole 2 mile hike herself! You can see it here. Isabella did amazing. She only complained the last 10 minutes that her legs were tired (but they couldn't have really been that tired because after hiking she and mom headed to a yoga class together). Noah on the other hand, thought this was a perfect opportunity to take a nap. He woke up hungry for breakfast just when we finished. We wish he would nap like that at home. He loves fresh air... hmmm perhaps we have a solution... 4 hikes a day :-)
We've had a lot of rain this winter so the hills were green and there was lots of water flowing through the Mission Dam.

Bella was so excited to be a 'big girl' hiking on her own
