Wow... we are done with the kitchen. Click on the before and after pictures to make them bigger.
We are so happy with how it turned out. 3 weeks ago today we tore down the kitchen! Everything went on schedule... but it wasn't looking good over the weekend when we tried get the sink and dishwasher going. Plumbers weren't happy with the countertop installation... yada yada yada... we got it all worked out. Phew.... Just in time.
Now let's have that baby already :-)

It is fascinating how much bigger and wider the kitchen now feels. The picture above actually tells the story. There was so much was of space in the older configuration. On the right you can see we're using the whole side of the kitchen... on the left that 'high countertop' made the kitchen to the left of the stove dead space.
This is an old picture from when we just moved in... but real life made for a real cluttered mess given how much we use the kitchen... appliances, etc. Now there is so much wonderful space!

Your kitchen looks really great! You have so much more counter space to prepare food and also display your fabulous kitchen stuff. Your counter top looks much better for all your baking. The best part is that it was done before the baby arrives!
