Family time in Palm Springs

Once a year James family meet up in Palm Springs and spends a couple of days together, eating, drinking and having fun. It was a great time this year as always. But we almost missed it. James had a business trip in the Bay Area and was scheduled to land in San Diego pretty late Friday leaving me to do the packing and preparation for the trip.

On Thursday (the day James left) I woke up with a nasty cold and high fever. But in the end we made it work when James came home earlier and my cold got better on Friday. On Saturday we got up early and went for a hike in Indian Canyon. It was a great hike and we were happy we did it early because at the end of the hike it was getting hot.

The rest of the Saturday we spent at the pool with family only taking a break for Bella to take a nap. We had a great dinner together and just hung out catching up.

On Sunday the rest of the family did the same hike we had done on Saturday. It also was David's 60th birthday, Happy Birthday David!!!! We had decided to leave fairly early to get home and have Isabella nap at home and miss traffic. We were lucky we left when we did (or not) because a huge storm swept in with high winds and hard rain. Well it made the drive home pretty challenging.

Isabella discovers a fountain outside our apartment

And there is water in it!!!!!

Bella is like a fish... she has no fear and loves to try to swim

Another view into the canyon

Bella enjoying the water from the spring

There was a lot of "hast bajs" (horse poop, in Swedish) on the trail and Bella was fascinated by this the whole hike she kept asking for more "bajs?"

Morning yoga. Tree pose!!!

Bella and Cha-Cha all pooped out in the car

You can't tell from pictures but the storm made these really spin around.
