Mission Trails hiking

Nor rain, mud or wind can stop our Sunday hikes. But it almost did this time actually. On Sunday's we always go out for hike and we have so much fun. This weekend however San Diego was hit by a huge storm so we didn't know if we would make it. Luckily we have a pretty fearless child who woke up on Sunday saying "going for a hike?". So we decided to dress real warm and venture out for our weekend hike. We're glad we did but boy was is interesting. A couple of times we had to walk in mud and it was thick and hard to walk in. It glued it self to our shoes so it felt like walking in cement. Isabella happily sat in her backpack for once did not ask to walk. Then we had to jump on rocks to cross a river since it  was overflowing with water. Easier said than done with a 30 pound child on your back.  It was quit fogy when we started but we were lucky because pretty much as soon as we were done with the hike, the rain started to pour again.

It was so peaceful, and we almost had the whole trail to our self
The sky was blue after days of rain and just about an hour after this photo was taken the sky turned black again

The dam was super full of water
This is usually Isabella's favorite place because this is where the ducks live but no ducks today. Who can blame them?

Isabella the happy hiker, but right after this was taken she was not happy since she was sitting on water. Oopppps!!!
Another fun thing she loves doing is playing with water fountain for the dogs
The leafs looked so nice among all the water
